ISLAMABAD – The government has resolved to eliminate customs fees and extra customs levies on Turkish imports until 2033.
According to the FBR, charges on glucose, glucose syrup, taste powder, dog and cat food have been eliminated, while duties on 133 goods, including corn flakes, mosquito killing sprays, and electric ovens, have been reduced.
The FBR has said that the extra custom duty on glucose and glucose syrup will be decreased from 5.83% to zero, as will the custom duty on flavour powder from 16.67% to $0, and the custom duty on dog and cat food from 16.67% to zero.
Furthermore, the rate of additional custom duty on several eyedrops will be reduced from 5.83% to zero, and additional custom duty on mosquito sprays and electric ovens will be eliminated.
According to the FBR, the decrease in customs duties and extra customs duties will be effective on May 1, 2023, with a progressive reduction in customs taxes and additional customs duties rates to be implemented until 2033.
