The installation of CCTV cameras in and around Karachi’s government colleges has been mandated by the Sindh government. Growing security concerns, especially those pertaining to the safety of personnel and students, have prompted this decision.
The Directorate of College Education Karachi Region gave college administrators instructions to give security measures top priority. The circular underlined the necessity of taking preventative measures to protect the college’s property and the health of its residents.
One of the most important steps in improving security is the installation of CCTV cameras. In addition to keeping an eye on activity on and around the college campus, these surveillance devices will support law enforcement in their investigations and incident analysis.
This action comes after Karachi police recently placed 110 domestic assistants on a blacklist because of their criminal histories. Residents were advised to use cautious when hiring domestic help after the authorities issued a list of these people’s addresses, phone numbers, and photos.
Authorities emphasized the organized nature of certain domestic workers’ illegal activity and the need of requiring police verification prior to employment.
