HEC establishes the National Innovation Award of up to Rs. 2 million under the Prime Minister Youth Program.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan created the National Innovation Award as a part of the Prime Minister Youth Program.

The award seeks to provide funding to Pakistani youth so they may turn their ideas into profitable enterprises. The initiative seeks to encourage young people’s entrepreneurship and creativity while improving Pakistan’s ranking on the global innovation index (GII).

Funding
A company may get an investment of up to PKR 2 million, which will be split into two instalments.

Eligibility
The programme is open to all young people in Pakistan between the ages of 15 and 30, including those who live in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK)

Application Method
Candidates for the National Innovation Award may submit their applications via the PM Youth Program website or mobile app. The last day to submit original concepts is January 30, 2023.

Areas of Focus
The following areas are available to suggestions for the programme:

food safety
Sustainability and water management
renewable energy
Information technology and telecom in urban planning
Philosophy and Sociology
health and medical sciences
anything else
