Saba Qamar and Aamina Sheikh are reuniting in a new drama after 14 years.
In a video now circulating on social media, Saba Qamar greeted Aamina Sheikh when she returned to TV after a lengthy absence.
Saba and Aamina previously collaborated in the drama series Maat in 2012. Saba was a rookie at the time, whilst Aamina was in the prime of her acting career. The name of the drama series in which Saba and Aamina appear has yet to be announced.
Maat sisters Saba Qamar and Aamina Sheikh were a surprise reunion for us. Earlier this week, the former took to Instagram to share a series of photos of the on-screen sibling combo, with the accompanying a touching statement written by Saba expressing her love and appreciation for her co-star and friend.
In a previous interview, Saba stated, “I can’t help but feel truly grateful for the time spent with such a wonderful soul.” Your presence brought warmth and joy into my house, and our chats left me invigorated.”
She went on to laud Aamina’s abilities, saying, “I respect not just your extraordinary skill as an actor, but also the grace and genuineness with which you live your life. It’s unusual to encounter someone who exudes such real compassion and intelligence, and I consider myself fortunate to have you as a friend.”
