Wall Street climbs as megacaps recover, and the Dow is on track to post gains for a tenth straight day

The Dow was on course for its tenth straight day of gains as Wall Street’s major indexes opened higher on Friday. Megacap growth and technology firms also made gains after suffering significant losses the previous session.

At the opening bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI) increased by 49.14 points, or 0.14%, to reach 35,274.32.

The Nasdaq Composite (.IXIC) rose 84.87 points, or 0.60%, to 14,148.18 at the opening bell, while the S&P 500 (.SPX) began up by 15.29 points, or 0.34%, at 4,550.16.
